Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The hotel was completely destroyed by the tsunami but donations were given away to other affected individuals in the region. After the complete refurbishment of the hotel a series of community service projects were carried out - again aimed at the tsunami affected people.
Education of locals and providing employment opportunities are also other activities the hotel commits to.
