Royal Palms Beach resort is a subsidiary of the Tangerine Group, one of the more successful companies in the country. A corporate social responsibility team is active and under the direct supervision of the company. They are committed to assisting the local community members in need, the minimisation of the hotel's environmental impact, and promoting local products and suppliers.

A sizeable donation has being provided for a housing scheme aimed at supporting individuals affected by the tsunami. The management has also been responsible for the collection and distribution of both dry rations and pre cooked meals to individuals in need.

The hotel limits its usage of energy through its key cards in all rooms. It also supports the purchase of locally made products from regional suppliers, enabling a sustainable stream of income for these local businesses due to tourism.
