Ypsylon Guest House

Ypsylon Guest House is an 'A' grade guest house, certified by the Tourist Board, and located in Beruwela. A sea side resort specializing in Deep Sea Diving instruction, this resort is ideal for those interested in water sports. The German born resident manager is a 'Padi' certified Master Scuba diver, who is also actively engaged with the Sri Lankan community in the fishing villages adjoining Beruwela.

Located on the waterfront, Ypsylon is a family resort and offers a personalised service in a relaxed atmosphere. Spread out across over half an acre of land and surrounded by coconut trees, this recently refurbished Guest House has 25 rooms.

The Hotel is equipped with a swimming pool and a kiddies’ pool and a garden play area for children. Some rooms have private balconies with a view of the ocean and direct access to the beach. The restaurant is spacious and set overlooking the sea and is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with no fixed meal times. Meals can be taken either in the restaurant or in the room, with both European and Sri Lankan cuisine on offer. The restaurant is renowned for serving delicious well prepared food. The lobby bar is well stocked with foreign and local liquor.

The key attraction of the hotel is its diving school. Open all year round, it is well equipped with diving equipment on hire and provides a range of training programs.
